Michael Janssen, born 1953* in Cologne,
lived and worked in Cologne, London, Firenze, Sebha (Libyen), Fô-Tancé (Benin), Ibiza, Cadiz.
His body of work consists of collages from newspaper articles, photographs and drawings which
are overpainted, fotocopied, scanned and finally digitally manufactured and reworked.
Impressions from a voyeur, his surrounding and everyday life observations.
Some compositions with private notions, some dealing with daily news from odd to ironical.
During his transition in Cologne Michael Janssen decided to start writing some of
his stories as a sort of material collection contributing to his future autobiography.
The exhibition HIS BODY OF WORK 2033 PM on the 16th of January is part of this
process and the result of a collaboration between Michael and Béla Pablo Janssen.
